Our 4 Jeep tours in the Smoky Mountains stay on the pavement. We recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen and bringing a bottle of water. Our Jeeps have canopies that offer some relief from sun exposure.

How much sun exposure will I get while on a jeep tour? Blankets are also provided during colder weather. For tours conducted in our enclosed vehicles, usually used for our longer day trips, there is air conditioning and heating. The Jeeps are equipped with canopies to shield you from the sun and we provide blankets during colder weather. He was such a great guide.ĭo you have A/C or heating in your vehicles?įor tours conducted in our open-air Jeeps, there is no air conditioning or heating in these vehicles. IF Pink Jeep allowed you to PICK your guide, I'd advise you to pick Jayson. We ended up being on this particular tour with another family, whom we did not know, but Jayson made the whole experience so relaxed, friendly, and exciting that we almost forgot that we weren't traveling with them and didn't actually know them at all. I was happy to have him explain that to us. Jayson was very knowledgeable and explained things really well to us about what we should expect and/or do should we encounter a bear when we were off the jeep. Something we hadn't really thought about was bear safety.

Not only did he take the photos for us, but he added in his own personal touch to our photos. He stopped multiple times, at different places for photo opportunities and assisted with the pictures. When we spotted the bear, he gave us more than enough time to take it in and get the pictures we could. He answered all of our questions and made our ride SO fun. I am not sure what the other guides are like but I can promise you this - you will not be disappointed if you get Jayson. We did see some bears BUT even if we hadn't, Jayson was THE BEST. We were willing to do whatever he thought was best in order to have the best chances to see a bear. He asked were we willing to switch it up a bit and maybe change up the route. We expressed interest in wanting to see bear(s). He explained that we would get great photos from any of the routes. We explained that we thought the online pictures showed the most amazing views/photo opportunities. When we met our guide, Jayson, he asked why we chose the route we did. We were hoping to see bear(s) while we traveled through the park.
